Breaking News: Globe to bring iPhone to the Philippines

Globe, SingTel, Bharti Airtel and Optus to bring iPhone to the region

Manila, 12 May 2008 –  Globe, SingTel, Bharti Airtel and Optus today announced that they have signed an agreement with Apple to bring the iPhone to the Philippines, Singapore, India, and Australia later this year.

More information will be released at a later date.

So the rumors are true after all.

Now the next question is.. how much?

    Take a look at this report. It says there that iPhones are now no longer being sold, even at Apple stores. The author is speculating that the reason for this is an imminent upgrade to the iPhone.

    And then it just so happens that we’re now gonna get iPhones here? Does this mean we’re going to be the dumping ground for the old stock, the non-3G iPhones? Yuck.
