I’m not sure when i first Joined twitter, I guess it was 2 years ago.. when it was still new. I didn’t know what to do with it and not so many people are using it – unlike today.
Last month, Ms. Google Philippines – Ms. A, told me to use twitter. She introduced me to her followers and I followed (meaning i subscribed to) some people and read their twitts. Then she taught me on how to use google talk with twitter. So now, i’m using gtalk to receive and send twitts.
Yesterday, Ms. A gave me a link to an article about twitter. It talks about the value of twitter, The example given was when Robert Scoble, who has more than 20,000 followers, twitted about the earthquake in China. He was one of those who spread the news and a lot of his followers also twitted about it. In short, a lot of people became informed.
So why do i use twitter?
- I use twitter to be informed. I want to be informed of what my online friends are doing.
- To be updated of the latest happenings. Like I’m following CNN via twitter.
- To be able to inform my followers what i’m doing.
But i’m not a heavy user of twitter. here’s a graph of my twitter activity tweetstats:

Me, I just twitt whenever there’s a need to. Twitter will eat most of my time. But maybe someday i’ll be like Ria and Winston. =p
