Nseries tip: Customize your menu
I’ve used several Nseries devices but it was only when i got the N78 and my N82 that i was able to figure out this very neat trick.
I’ve wished that somehow i can customize the menu where i will first see only my often used icons.
Now i can…or should i say now I found out how!
Here’s a look at my top level (root) menu. I have arranged the icons so that i will only show those that i often use.
How move your menu icons/shortcuts or folders?
Two things. You can move with the same area/folder or move to another location/specific folder.
First, choose an icon or a folder to move. Then click OPTIONS using the left upper key.
You choose MOVE to transfer the icon to the same folder/area. Meaning you’ll just alter its position. Say you want the first icon to be highlighted when you open the Menu is the music player, then put that in the middle. Then you want the calculator on top or at the bottom of the music player, then do so with this move function.
Meanwhile, you can choose to move the icon on a different folder. Like the calculator which is originally under the applications folder. You may also want to create a new folder to put all your not so used icons/shortcuts.
But you can only do this to one icon or folder at a time. You can’t choose multiple icons or folders then move them simultaneously.
Also, i don’t recommend deleting any unused icon. Coz maybe you’ll use it in the future.

great article! Funny I just wrote up a very similar article last night. Smart minds think alike. Don’t forget about the extra tip I gave. The number pad keys act as shortcuts to the first 12 menu items.
