WordCamp Philippines Updates
I’ve been busy checking, verifying, and confirming registrants for WordCamp Philippines.
There are less than 400 who was able to beat the registration deadline for the event. After closing the registration, we’ve been receiving a number of inquiries if they can still register. No word on that yet.
We’ve finished verifying blogs and bloggers (those who registered as bloggers) and confirmed the attendance of non bloggers/developers. We will be able to send your Camper Pass by early next week.
We’ve also published the WordCamp Philippines programme for the event. For those who have registered, please sign-up and choose your preferred talks for the morning sessions.
Several speakers have graciously volunteered their service to impart knowledge in blogging and the use of wordpress to those who will be joining.
I’ve read some of the outline of the talks. And each one will be giving fresh ideas on blogging.
Through the efforts of Blogie, the team lead organizer, he was able to convince Matt Mullenweg (the main man of WordPress) to go to Davao for a pre-WordCamp. So those from Mindanao who will not be able to go to Manila for the Big Event can join and register for the pre-WordCamp in Davao. There are only limitted slots for this min-event so hurry and sign up.
There are new sponsors coming in… they really want to be part of the event.
We are selling WordCamp t-shirts. They are available in 2 colors: Royal Blue, and Maroon. Order one here. View the size chart first.
You’ll see a countdown timer on my sidebar.. Couting the days and hours before WordCamp Philippines.
Oh, I will be in Manila starting August 23 for my vacation and as an advance party for the event.
I’ll be giving weekly updates from now on or as new and urgent announcements pop up.
