I just finished updating my Nokia N82 to the recently released firmware version – 30.0.019. It was a big jump from the old firmware version 20.0.062. And from the list that i got from Symbian Freak [www.symbian-freak.com]

Here is the complete change log (list of fixes and new features):

Note: I check each and every one of the changes in the list. See my comments inside the ( ).

I’ve also arranged the fixes/enhancements in groups

PIM

• Alarm: Updates to Calender for Alarm related Issues (I don’t really get this one. )
• Default Calender Year to be 2008
• One Way Refresh over PIM

• Audio: Enhancement to Radio Apps (radio seems to have a new look)
• Music Player enhancement & Fixes. ( they said the sound is more clearer -not louder – so far i don’t sense it)
• Orange XML GSM/WCDMA OTC Refreshing Music Library Looks like app has locked up (I dont have this bug on my phone)
  

• Video Editors fix & Enhancements (ohhhh.. i like this… but what enhancements exactly?)
• Phone hangs while playing the video “Batman Begins” (I haven’t played any batman movie on my phone – does this mean a lot of N82 users played it for it to be included on this update?)
• Camera Related Enhancements and fixes (DARN.. they did not include the function to TURN OFF THE CAMERA SOUND! are you really listening to your users?).

• Video Center Enhancements
  
• Flash Lite3 Related Enhancements and Fixes (YEY!)

• Barcode reader: Decoded data view, Unsaved barcode with no links, optios list is in wrong order (i don’t have this bug on my phone)

• Email fixes and enhancements (i don’t use this)
• Lifeblog Enhancement wrt DB file (i don’t use this)
• Maps2.0 related Fixes and Enhancement need to maturize the same (Maturize? Or you mean enhance or update? I hope they have included  detailed maps for the Philippines or else this will still be useless.))
• Share Online Related Fixes needed for Maturization of application
  
• Mobile Search 4.0 with Google Plugin

Fun and Games

• Bluetooth Enhancements (like what enhancements? maybe faster file transfer or connection. They should have added an automatic virus scanning feature with files received through bluetooth)
• WLAN related Fixes and Enhancements

• Core Telephony: Security, USIM, PCP, TTY related fixes, E.g. (ahh ok)
• From PCP: Aino: WCDMA OTC USIM Freeze GSM Access and Security disabled (huh?)
• CommonTsy copyerror: From PCP: Aino: WCDMA OTC USIM Freeze GSM Access and Security disabled (another HUH?)
• From PCP: Cert Nonpass : TC 31.9.2.1 (51.0101) PCS1900 (English please)
• TTY doesn’t work (QC defect ID 188) (what’s TTY?)
• Java Core Runtime and Java Extension Fixes and Enhancements, e.g.
• SFR GSM/WCDMA OTC Misc : Applications stored on the mass memory are very slow
• When playing OMA1 protected files in a J2ME app using JSR135 throws an exception in S60 3.1 devices

I’m sure some of the fixes here is not really intended for all N82.. I mean there are different codes of the N82 for different regions.. like there’s a different product code for Europe, US, and Asia.
