Three years after ’s EOS 5D broke into the scene with a full-frame sensor, the follows up with yet another leap in performance.

Now, the once again introduces significant performance gains: a new 21.1 megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor, DIGIC 4 image processor, and a host of advanced features to make the the platform of choice for professional photographers and advanced photography enthusiasts who demand the best. At the core of the is a new 21.1 megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor with EOS Integrated Cleaning System. The not only provides ample pixels for sharp detail and enlargements, but because it is a full-frame sensor, it also possesses wider dynamic range for subtler tones in images, and low noise at higher ISO sensitivities. It is also equipped with ’s latest DIGIC 4 image processor that combines ultra-fast image processing (1.3 times faster processing than DIGIC III) with fine-detail and natural colour reproduction.
