Why is it that in some countries, the iPhone is locked with a carrier while it has freedom in other countries?
Like the iPhone from Hong kong. It’s not tied up with any carrier.
And aside from the fact that it’s “open-line” it’s also cheaper than the local prices. You can buy a 8GB iPhone for less than P33,000.00. While the 16Gb iPhone is less than P38,000 (I used this currency converter).
So if you wana buy an iPhone, i suggest get one from Hong Kong. It’s in English right? =p














Nice to know this – I was all set on spending money on Globe’s postpaid plan early next year. The HK price is still a bit steep, though, don’t you think?
