N82 installed applications
Just want to share to my N82 readers what applications I have installed on my Nokia N82…

The default applications are:
- Clock - default
- Calendar - default
- Applications Manager - default
- Camera - default
- Panoman - default
- Media folder which holds the Real player, Flash player, IM, Lifeblog, and activation keys
- Office Folder which has the Adobe PDF reader, converter, zip, Barcode, Quickoffice, and Notes
- My SIM’s services
- Share online
- Hot sites
- Search
- Web
- Downloads
- Nokia Maps
- Asian Maps
- MyNokia
- Nokia Music mix
Meanwhile, i have installed other application on my N82.
- ScreenSnap - for taking screenshots on my phone
- Opera Mini - tried using it. works nice.
- Gmail for Mobile - gmail mobile client for people on the GO.. like me!
- Yahoo Go! - nice mobile client for yahoo services.
- Fring - instant messenger and free VOIP calls..
- Google Maps Mobile - because it is better than Nokia maps and Asia Maps
- Phone Net Info - provides nifty info about my phone
- File Explorer - well, the name says it all
- Mobyexplorer - same as file explorer with password features
- IQ Talking clock - i want to hear the time =p
- Kaywa Reader - QD Barcode reader
- cCam - a camera capture program which does not use the Flash of your phone.
- Powerboot - like a task manager that automatically opens an application whenever you turn on your mobile phone.
- Advance Call Manager - as the name implies, it manages calls. You can block a call from any of your contacts.
- Joiku Spot - turns your S60 device into a wifi hotspot.

My most used 3rd party application is the PowerBoot and ScreenSnap. Actually i still have more application that i need to install on my N82.. will do another one of these by next month perhaps.
So, what applications are installed on your Nokia N82?

Migs, I’m surprise to see Nokia Mix Icon on your menu and pre-installed, what is it for? mine doesn’t have one.
Its an application that lets me purchase and download songs. I tried using it. It would always use GPRS/3G and won’t connect to the internet/download center if i use wi-fi on my n82.
wait wait wait….
* Google Maps Mobile - because it is better than Nokia maps and Asia Maps
- WHY do you find it better? i use a combo of both Nokia Maps and Google Maps, because, well, in many regards Nokia Maps is just BETTER for me. i can’t do voice guided navigation with google maps. i can’t view maps in offline mode while flying using google maps. whats wrong with nokia maps for you?
* Phone Net Info - provides nifty info about my phone
- nifty. what info might that be?
* Kaywa Reader - QD Barcode reader
- wait. why?!?!?!?! my N95 and N82 both CAME WITH THE BUILT-IN barcode reader. why switch? or is this only a default app in some countries?
* cCam - a camera capture program which does not use the Flash of your phone.
- seems like a waste to me. is there a reason you’ve want this ‘feature’? here, we take all our pics with the N82 now instead of the N95 BECAUSE the FLASH makes it BETTER. what am i missing? and the flash doesn’t fire unless it’s needed… so it’s not like we ALWAYS use the flash, just in dark scenes.
Hi Bitflung,
> Google maps Vs Nokia Maps
here in the Philippines, Nokia Maps are not that detailed and its other features are not yet functioning well. See here: http://www.migsmobile.net/2008/10/05/not-so-detailed-nokia-maps/
>PhoneNetInfo
some infos are: Phone model, IMEI, Subscriber ID, Battery level, Battery status, UI framework version, OS version, SW (software?) version, Language version, Tasks/applications running, profile information.
> kaywa Reader
Actually i also use the Nokia default Barcode reader. I use both.. just tried the kaywa reader.
> cCam
I was looking for a program that won’t use the red light (AF - assisted flash?) on the camera flash. And a program that won’t use flash as default for day to day camera use. But the pictures coming from cCam is not clear compared to the results using the default camera program.
