ANZ Internet Banking Email hoax

November 3rd, 2008 | 3 Comments | Posted in Opinion

Dear readers, here’s another email hoax/spam. Its from a purported Autrallia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited. I was surprised to receive this email on my inbox (not spam folder).

This looks very real… however, i don’t have an account with that bank… errrrr… i don’t have an international account to begin with! hahahahha

Also, look at the email address used to send this hoax: obxfk@aim.com and the reply to address: kbnfycob@home.com.

Another thing, the email is very non formal. Like sender just placed a name “Anna” without ant surname.

So.. do not click any link from that email. coz it might harm your computer or you (like steal your passwords and personal info).

So, always look at who sent the email… the email address and reply to address. Sometimes looks can be deceiving.. That’s why you have to look into the details. Also, if you receive something that looks too good to be true via email, i suggest you search it first on the internet. And see if it is really legit.
