I’ve been receiving several inquiries regarding which phone is best for them. I would always reply with a question “what is your ideal phone?”

It is a must that you know what phone you want and what features you need. Because you might end up buying a new mobile phone that you are not happy with. You might get a more expensive phone when the features that you want is in a cheaper phone. In the long run, your phone might turn out to be underused (if there is such a term).
So going back.. what’s your ideal mobile phone?
The type of phone that you want depends on what you need it for. You decide based on the factors that will make the phone useful. For example, a friend wanted to buy a new phone. She said she’ll just use it for her loading business. But she’s eyeing for a 5 mega pixel phone! Whoah! I told her to just buy a phone under P1,500! Or better yet, get a dual sim phone that can handle the loading service (not all dual sim phones can do this).
For me, I want an everyday phone that i can use for everything – calls, text, watch videos, listen to music. So basically, here’s what i want:
- Camera: 5 megapixels or higher
- Audi: plays at least mp3 or can play ACC.
- Memory: at least more than 20MB internal memory and can handle 2GB up external memory – microSD (because MicroSD cards are cheaper than other memory cards like M2)
- Display: 2 inch and above display
- Network: At least 3G. Triband
That’s only some of the basic features i want in a mobile phone. And i stay away from phones with:
- Qwerty Keypad
- Slide / flip / clamshell
A touchscreen phone would be nice.. but its on the bottom of my list.
GSM Arena has a great tool called Phone Finder for those who are still having a headache of what mobile phone they want to have.

Knowing what phone you want to have and the purpose for using it will save you time and effort looking for your phone and will also save hard earned money.

And thanks to you I got the perfect phone!
hehheh..
your welcome Ms. A!
