In my experience new memory cards almost always pose problems. Alhough there are quality issues between brands I think this is not a factor here.

Memory cards can become fragmented as well as other storage devices especially if you write and rewrite a lot of times in it. As such a fragmented storage can become troublesome for the phone's OS. At best it can slow down the phone at worst it can corrupt the memory card.

The best remedy I can recommend is to (re)format it with the phone. Try another phone if you have to because some phones will refuse to format a corrupted MicroSD thinking its only encrypted and will ask you for a password instead.

This is the main reason why PQI cards are not popular. They tend to be unreliable at sometime - as I read on some forum sites. I have been using a couple of Kingston cards for almost a year now and I never had any single problem using it.

Currently, I'm using 2 Sandisk microSD cards with 6 and 8GB capacity respectively. I will see how it goes far.

Before I forget, Nokia microSD's seems to be reliable and durable too - I've dropped mine for about a couple of meters away and I was surprised - It did not break nor got its file corrupted!
