Apply for a Job thru text

February 14th, 2009 | 2 Comments | Posted in Opinion

Graduation season is fast approaching. A lot of graduates will be produced. New hopefuls that will find their dream job.

I remembered when i first applied for a Job. I had to go 3 times to my employer. First to submit my resume. Next was the initial Interview. Then last was the final interview. I imagined for applying for a job to be simple. As simple as sending a text message. I thought it wouldn’t be possible. But now it is.

So you only need to choose on whether you want to apply using the eployer’s email or the job code posted.

Then you send it to a predefined number.

Only Sun, Globe, and Smart subscribers can use this service and is exclusively offered by Jobstreet.com.

But i wonder how they will identify if the sender is a Jobstreet.com member. :D for example, if I don’t have a Jobstreet.com account and i just asked a friend who does have one, to get the job code of a job item. I don’t remember verifying my mobile number with them.

Anyways, thos who have tried this, please share your experience. :D
