It seems Sun Cellular is not being left behind in the competition. It recently launched new offerings for their1 consumers.
First, SUN Cellular has released the cheapest SIM to date. You can now get a SUN Cellular SIM for only P29.00!
Next, Sun Cellular now offers Personalized Messaging. What does this mean. Well, now, you can have more control over the text messages that you receive… You can:
- Divert the text message into another number (i think only to sun cell numbers) [doesn't say how much]
- Send an auto reply – Its like an answering machine.. or auto reply in emails. [Free to turn on; P1.oo per auto reply message sent; P2.00 to turn off]
- Text Copy – send the same text message to another number.. ummm.. i think there’s already such a thing as FORWARD
[Free to turn on; P1.oo per auto reply message sent; P2.00 to turn off] - Number Block – This will come in handy! But you can only block up to 10 numbers. [P15.00 per week or P50.00 per month]
This is a first for the Philippines but not in other countries. There are also mobile phone applications that can do this for free (but you have to buy the application…)
Lastly, Sun Cellular is now offering Sun Broadband wireless as Prepaid! Yeah.. SUN did not have to let their consumers wait longer for the prepaid version of their Sun Broadband Wireless.
Ok, let’s dissect this new deal.
- Getting the unit would cost the consumer the same price as the easy broadband plan
- First, its prepaid so you only load it when you need it.
- Same as Smart’s offer of 10.00 per 30 minutes.
- However, load have validity periods. Like the 10.00 load will only last for 2 hours.
- They have a new unit, the same as the Smart Bro Plugit and not the original one like the Globe Visibility.
Sun Wireless Broadband prepaid first seen from Captain’s Log
For me, the plan 799 is already a winner since I will be using the Sun Broadband wireless almost everyday and minimum of 8 hours. I’ve already tried Smart bro’s prepaid plug-it offer and i think the disadvantage will be that you might not be able to load your prepaid broadband when you need it.
Hmmmm.. this just made sun broadband wireless more affordable to the consumer… i wonder how long we’ll be able to enjoy the fast internet connection. 6 months?

sinubukan ko gumamit ng internet using my sun postpaid sim sa Huawei e156g usb broadband, super bilis hsdpa ang connection as in one click lang. sulit na sulit dahil walang idle time.
sinubukan ko din gumamit ng prepaid sim, hsdpa din ang connection, kaya lang minsan napuputol ang connection kaya akala ko yung 30 pesos load ko, ubos kaagad after three connections dahil akala ko minimum of 10 per thirty minutes, nagtataka ako tuwing nagcoconnect ako, go pa rin siya until mga more or less 20 connections siguro, tuloy pa rin hanggang sa nagstop na ako dahil gabing-gabi na, pero meron pa ring load. nagtaka ako at nagsurf ngayon sa internet. ganoon pala sa sun, hindi nasasayang ang load kahit paputol putol ang connection, hindi katulad sa smart ang globe.

sana magkaroon tayo ng services na kung saan mabablock mu ang isang no.ng permanently because ung iba ay nanggugulo na ng buhay ng iba..hope may ganoon,,baka sabihin nyo naman na bakit hindi nalang ako magpalit ng simcard but i cannot do that because many important transaction are involve in my number,,,merun tayo but 30 days lang gusto ko ung totally sana masira syempre kailangan ay may valid reason naman diba and hope mapagbigyan nyo ang request ko,,,hopefully suncellular network..or just help me on how to block a sim card number using a computer or just on how to block a number…thankyou and i need your response
