I was browsing the myglobe forums and this particular entry caught my attention. A forumer by the username “riderbabygurl” got fired from her work because of the slow internet connection being provided by her Globe plan (not stated if prepaid or postpaid but there’s an account # so I assume its a postpaid plan).

I would like to request for a rebate in my account about my internet connection. Since you don’t provide a good service. Last week we encounter problems regarding to the connection and It was five days due to that I need to go at computer shop just to work for my job urgh and you know what’s the worst thing my Boss in US fired me just because of your service. Well, i think there are others out there with the same fate as riderbabygurl.
If she had problems with her connection, she should have filed a complaint with Globe, called their customer service hotlines, or send an email to them. So that everything is documented. I’m sure there’s something that can be done to fix her problem.
If it was really urgent for her to access the internet, she should have used other means of connecting to the net and not wait for globe. She could have used Smart prepaid or Sun Broadband. Then tell globe to stop her plan because they are not able to provide or deliver the promised connection.
Now, she can file a complaint at the NTC, DTI, TXTPower, and other agencies or organizations for them to look into the problem.
I’m not a lawyer, but based from how I understand it, If she can really prove that she lost her job due to Globe’s poor performance, i think she can file a case and win it. Something like protection of consumer rights.

this giants have loopholes within their services so they evade most of the cases…. you better be creative and find a good lawyer, nevermind the pay have them shoulder it +++ hahaha…

Hmm..Globe must really do something about this. The slow internet connection that the lady experienced had cause a very serious problem.
Remember how Sen.Enrile got rob with his cellphone prepaid load? His cellphone’s service provider was Globe. I think this calls to the attention of the public. This giant companies of telecommunications like Globe has really lots of problems with their systems! The public pays them right but they don’t have a good quality of service!

Every now and then, we have to call customer service to report Internet connectivity issues. Their connection is always intermittent. A lot of times, it will fail. If it works, 40% of the time, it’s very slow. We have no choice coz some of the ISP’s services aren’t available yet on our area. I’ve been a Globe fan for several years now. But because of their issue with loads like the one from Enrile, which I also experienced, all I want for the company is to experience karma if they’re really doing it intentionally. Like what they say, karma nowadays is digital. As I speak, my connection is 100 bps…. Can you imagine that? I am paying 1 MBps…. I called, they said that there’s no issue on their end. Sooner or later, I’ll be cancelling my subscription.

outside wire tap on my phone at first I thougth it was only a local call but when my bill came up i found out it was a cellphone call I reported it to them and all they say,We dont recomend that kind of alligation but I have proff I`d recoded there talking on my phone,with regard`s with my internet connectivy the hell with it,it`s realy worst,.I chose Globe cause it`s International and I have applied 2MBS of connection type,shit,fuck,Im sorry but Im full of hate rigth now why wont we all go to Glove and file a complaint to them.
