I missed blogging about a new mobile phone brand in town…. Cherry Mobile.
The company aims the low-end market with features compared to high-end devices at cheaper prices. True enough, the prices of their mobile phones ranges from P3,000 to P6,000. Part of its main lineup are dual-SIM mobile phones.
Packed with Cameras for taking photos and they even have one mobile phone that lets you watch your favorite local TV channel.
Cherry Mobile also has a number of authorized service centers in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Hi!Pls give me feedbacks re: this Cherry Mobile.Is it good in terms of quality & over all aspects?Which is the best to buy,this one,Myphone or Torque?They all have the same price range & common features particularly dual sim phones.I really need to know which is better coz i’m planning to buy,i’m really after the dual sim feature.For now my target unit is the DQ500 from Torque (w/c is like E71), Myphone’s Q21 & Cherry Mobile’s M35 (TV phone).I’m really confused.Hope anyone who can read this can give me suggestions which is the best brand among the 3.Thanks!

They are both cheap mobile phones. But i haven’t compared it in terms of quality. I think right now they’re both the same.
What’s important is the after sales service that they give… warranty and the number of service centers. You don’t want to buy a phone without a service center nearest you right?

- cute, looks like a calculator (in my case i lost my phone, you cant tell it is a phone!)
- practical, its just simply call and text (good for those who doesnt like too much blah on their phones)
- REAAAALLLY thin!
- super cheap
boo!
- msg memory depends on the sim, no internal memory
- quite awkward keypads … they’re too wide for me
- as stated … its plainly call and text … dont expect music, pics and other stuff
- searching at phonebook takes sweet time compared to other phones
- no distribution list
but so far, its good … wise buy and you eventually get used to it ^^v

@trilyan yes cherry mobile can access internet and most of the units is already preconfigured with smart sun and globe settings.. and uzzap is not compatible for cherry mobile because it doesn’t support java, .sis even .nes format.. for now all we have to do is wait..

all i can say, its very light, handy, but the charger seems to be destoyed easily, i juz bought it for a wik, so far so good, the battery life is amazing…charging tym is good, it takes only abot 2-3 hours i think…

Hi there. My gf and I just bought a Cherry Comet 2 days ago. And we were told to charge it for 4 hours. So we did. I read the manual as well to familiarize myself. However, while charging our phones (on and off mode), it kept on displaying charging complete just after an hour or two. Then based on the manual, there might be a need to disconnect and reconnect the charger to continue charging. Which we also did. But again, after 5 minutes, it showed the same message charging complete. We find it incovenient and weird which makes me feel awkward about it. And take note, the battery is draining even if we are not using it. CRAZY!! Can someone spare me an advice about this? We really like the Comet. As I’ve scanned some of the posted messages here, I saw few who also has the same unit we are using. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you very much.

even if it shows “charging complete” you should continue charging the batteries based on what the seller told you.
And yes, batteries will drain even if you don’t actually use it or on stand-by.

Thanks Migs! That’s wonderful to know. The only thing weird about even the phone is not in use, it will drain in as short as 30 mins; which I think is really fast. But I will charge it as we were told, and observe. This blog is really helpful. Again, many thanks! Have a nice weekend. =)

Natry ko kanina sa isang shop yung Cherry Mobile 1800 since 1.4k lang and pwede nang Basic MP3 Player/Phone, pero buti nalang natest muna namin since sobrang lag ng interface, kahit anong feature.
Kaya warning lang, sa cherry stalls try to demand na test muna ninyo bago kayo bumili, para lang safe (di ko sinasabi na pangit lahat ng cherry, sobrang ok ang S11 actually, pero nagulat lang talaga ako sa 1800)

ang battery life ng m35 ko umaabot ng 2 araw ng wala halos ka txt. pero kung puro txt ka tapos magttv ka, 24hrs lang mauubos yan.. ang napansin ko sa m35 ko mabilis magbawas first 3 bar pero ang last 2 bars nian pangmatagalan.. d ko alam kung ganun din sa ibang model..
ito tip lang wag kau mag expct ng mas mahabang battery life lalo na colored ang phone niyo..

kailan mo binili? kung bago pa try mo baka pwede palitan yung cable..
or try mo sa ibang pc kung working yung cable or hindi,
kung hindi naman pwede mapalitan yung cable, bili knalang ng bago
meron naman sila binibenta niyan sa cherry mobile store..
kung gusto mo naman mas mura meron nian mga binibenta sa mga muslim hehehe
kasi pareho yan ng cable sa mga mp5 or mp3 players.. ako minsan ganun din
hiram ko yung cable ng kaibigan ko ok naman.. sana magkaroon ka idea kung pano
mo magagamit yung pag transfer ng files..

@kristine hindi po talaga napapalitan ang sms tones ng cherry m35.. yung default lang talaga na 5 ang pwede mo gamitin..

@princess na eexperience ko din ang pag off/on after call.. tapos balik ulit siya sa dati.. pag ang gamit ko na line yung sa globe or sim2.. pero hindi ko na experience mag off/on kung wala naman activity sa phone or call..
@joyce hindi po pwede ma download ang uzzap sa m35 kasi hindi nia po supported ang java or .sis format.. preconfigured na po yan, sim nalang po ang activate mo..

hi.i just bought cherry q7 yesterday.ang problema lang ay bakit walang signal ang globe sim ko?kahit ilipat ko sa sim1 ant sim 2 wala pa din.pero yung sun sim ko ok naman.tsaka hindi ba mahina ang signal ng cherry mobile?kasi pag nililipat ko naman sa other phone ok naman.

@budoy ok lang naman ang Q7 skin pero di ko pa natry ang globe sim malakas naman signal ng smart at sun ko,,, download k ng games and applications sa umnet.com… problema ko di ko magamit ung uzzap sa phone na to kahit java enable naman xa

guys..pde nman uzzap sa cherry as long as jar ang extension..uhm try nu uzzap for sOny or for V3..but super lag taeng tae <:D not connected pa heheheh

i got a cherry mobile blade last year. very good build quality, durable. i dropped it many times, but it still worked and no effect at all on the performance of the unit. you should just take extra care in using the keypad. we cannot just use it as vigorously as when we tap the keys of our nokia phones. after less than a year of usage, my keypad got deformed and it’s never the same again. can’t bring it back to old form as it’s built not the usual way. i need to have it replaced by the authorized service center which is not conveniently located in south luzon…:-(

@jen iba iba ata ang pinaglalagyan or posisyon ng memory card ng cherry sakin kasi katabi lang sia ng simcard at battery pero kailangan parin tanggalin ang battery para maalis yung memory card kasi nahaharangan siya nito..
@art meron din ba siya usb cable? kung meron kabit mo lang sa pc mo at madedetect din ng pc mo yung phone na parang flash drive.. tapos copy paste mo nalang yung file na gusto mo… pwede rin through bluetooth.

P1 issues so far:
the name that appears when i dial in 223, even that i cant find! 
1. i cannot load a prepaid card, each time i dial 223, it dials a specific contact on the phonebook
2. i cannot find all my contacts when i scan the phonebook
not sure if this is authentic cherry mobile p1… but at php900 who would bother to check

pinalitan ng bago, hindi nagwowork ang flash.
papunta na ako ulit ng store, nilagay ko lang sa bulsa ko, nabasag na nag screen.
ngaun papa-repair ko sana, hindi naman available ang part.
NATIONWIDE NGA ANG SERVICE CENTER, WALA NA MANG PARTS!
MURA NGA, HINDI NAMAN DURABLE!
Cherry mobile sucks, kung bibili kau, pag-isipan mabuti.

Baka hindi ka lang talaga marunong mag-alaga ng cellphone. Kahit anong cellphone naman, masisira at masisira. Wag na lang masyado mag-expect kasi nga hindi naman yan katulad ng Nokia, Sony Eric, @ Motorola.

i have a cherry mobile meteor, but i was having problem with it, when someone call or even if im going to make a call, i could hear any sound not unless if im going to have set for a loudspeaker that would be the time that i can hear the voice. could any one help me do the trouble shouting steps for this, because it is really inconvenient for me to have it send for repair becuase they dont have any service center here in cebu.. so it would take 1 month that i could not have any phone.. any help would highly appreciate..

@Muy gamitin mo po yung cable chord na kalakip sa package para makapag transfer ka nung mp3, at ilagay mo po sa music na folder yung mp3 para ma play mo siya sa audio player pag inopen mo yung audio player nag auto refresh list yan kung wala parin i manual mo pag refresh para lumabas sa player yung mp3.. diba ang shortcut key naman sa audio player is yung down arrow tapos nasa player kana, pag manual naman press list then click options then choose mo yung refresh list.. sana nakatulong..

It depends on the video format and the video player of the phone. dapat compatible sila. Try converting your videos into 3gp format.
Most of the time kasi pag galing sa (or taken using ) isang high end na phone tapos itatransfer mo sa lower end phones, hindi mabasa yung ibang formats.

i tried it migs..cinonvert ko na in 3gp,even in other formats ,ok na tlga kaso ala lang sound..audio player not supported nag pa-pop.pro ung ibang videos naman na binublutooth may sound….

sexypunk , it boils down to the video talaga. if others naman are being played without a problem. try mo yung software na SUPER video converter. play with it and see which settings will get that video working on your phone.

hi, i bought the meteor evolution of cherry mobile, pano ba palitan yung sa menu kasi ang background eh logo ng cherry mobile… i can change the wallpaper yung mismong harap lang yung sa menu ayaw na, then may themes ba na compatible dito?hope you rep thank you and God bless…

i download java games to try if it will work sa meteor evolution ko, kaso ok naman nagload naman kaso after ipress yung start super tagal na tapos wala na nangyayari… may kelngan pa ba ako iconfigure or gawin please rep

i think if you will buy meteor much better yung meteor evolution nalang touchpad pa, konti lang naman dadagdag mo…kaso like what i am asking sa taas wala pang theme maybe kasi bago pa ang cherry mobile…. try to check yung add nila sa mall

ska bat gnun ung charging..mgdamag ng nkababad pero wla indication na fully charged nxa. eh gmet kong charger ung charger nya mismo.. pwede ba pplitan un?

Have it checked sa nearest service center nila. baka may problem yung battery or charger.

sir migs dko kc mkapag internet kc handset setting meteor evo eh wala pa sa smart ang globe.. dpa naka link ung cherry sa smart at globe…. meron bng paraan pa para mkapg net ako….wala bng link para makpag internet ako….

@ahron connect mo yung usb connector sa pc tapos sa cp mo may mag pop up option na pwede mo gamitin ang cam..

ok po cya, pero pagnagchange po ako ng ibang sun sim. check operator daw po, pero may unlimited call naman…. text lng pede.
