Nokia has released software updates for the following phones:
- Nokia E66 software version 300.21.012
- Nokia N96 software version 30.033
- Nokia E71 software version 300.21.012
- Nokia E63 software version 200.21.012
- Nokia N86 software version 20
You can update your mobile phone’s software in 2 ways.
First is Over the Air (OTA) – but only for Nokia N96 and N86 (as indicated in the Nokia web site)
- Key *#0000# into your phone’s home screen.
- Select Options > Check for updates.
- Follow the on-screen prompts until your update is complete!
Updates for the Nokia N96 includes:
- Facebook included in device
- Improved ringing tone audio levels
- Improved performance
Second, by downloading the Nokia Software Updater on your PC. Just follow the on screen instructions.
The software update for Nokia E66, Nokia E71 and Nokia E63 includes:
- Gimlet 5.0 Nokia Messaging
- Windows Live Hotmail support
- HTML support
- Improved performance
Also, according to All About Symbian, a new software for Nokia N86 has been released which gives a lot of improvements in the phone such as improved still image and video quality in the camera and added face detection, plus a lot of bug fixes.
Remember to make sure your battery power is full. Otherwise, it might empty up during the update and damage your phone.
