Modu Phone
I blogged about the world’s smallest phone coming to the Philippines. And now here it is. The Modu Phone.
Globe is now ready to offer the Modu phone and is available in 4 colors: black, pink, blue, and pearl white.
Check out more of the Modu phone’s unique and cool features after the break:
- 40.1 grams
- Dimensions: 72.1mm x 37.6mm x 7.8mm
- 7-keys keypad (4+1 way navigation keys, send & end keys)
- 2GB internal flash memory
- Bluetooth version 1.2
- Music player
- Picture gallery
- Talk time: 2.25h / Standby: 100h / Music playback: up to 8 hours
I’m not sure how to write text messages using just 7 keys, 2 of which as send and end, 4 navigation keys and the last one, the one in the middle.. I don’t know what for.
It might just be like an ipod but with mobile phone features.
But for added functionality – like to see complete sets of keys like on a normal mobile phone – and put on some style, just slide the Modu phone into any modu jackets. Either on an Express jacket or Mini jacket .
- Prepaid = Php 7,999 with FREE Globe Tattoo SIM and also comes with FREE ImmortalTxt for one year! (ImmortalTxt10 to be given twice a week for one year upon activation)
- Postpaid plans — FREE at Plan 1200. For every modu phone that you buy, you also get a FREE Express jacket.
Quite expensive for a small phone with not so much features and something that you need to buy add-ons for it to have “better functionality”. I’m sure the add-ons are not cheap either.
I hope they could bring it down to like.. P4,000 so that people will be encouraged to buy it and just pass on the price to the add-ons because for sure, people will buy these add-ons to make the phone more useful.

i like the modu since it features the changeable jackets but other features such as internet connectivity, i still prefer my iphone 3Gs which also came from Globe.
