MOA Cyberzone Scan Me contest

Update:

Roger of  2d-code.co.uk, a reader of Migs Mobile Network, called my attention to correct some information in this post. He enlightened me on what the 2D code below really is.  It’s a data matrix code or simply matrix code and not a QR code. Corrected the post below. Thanks Roger!

I saw this big QR Matrix Code inside the SM Mall of Asia.

Data Matrix code is a two-dimensional matrix barcode consisting of black and white “cells” or modules arranged in either a square or rectangular pattern. The information to be encoded can be text or raw data. Usual data size is from a few bytes up to 2 kilobytes. The length of the encoded data depends on the symbol dimension used. Error correction codes are added to increase symbol strength: even if they are partially damaged, they can still be read. A Data Matrix symbol can store up to 2,335 alphanumeric characters.. – wikipedia. Also wrote about 2D barcodes here.

It says scan me. So I took out my Nokia N82 equipped with a QR Code reader and scanned it.

After decrypting the code, save it on your phone or send it according to the instructions given.

There are 4 of this big QR matrix Codes in MOA. Winners will win an Asus Laptop in the monthly draw. However, its only open to smart subscribers.
