sun unlimited surfingLast week, Sun cellular introduced their Sun Broadband Wireless Sim prepaid… sumkinda like the Globe Tattoo sim. But this one is much better because Sun Cellular is offering a 1 day unlimited internet surfing!

The Sun Broadband Wireless P50 (SBW50) 1-DAY UNLIMITED load comes both in scratch card or via Xpressload, allowing Sun Broadband prepaid subscribers to stay connected for 24 continuous hours!

Using your Sun Broadband modem’s interface, just key in LOAD followed by the 9-digit data card number and the 5-digit PIN found at the back of the card, (LOAD<space> 123456789 <space> 12345), then send to 2225. After successfully loading, you will receive a text message indicating expiry date/time of your load.

This also means you don’t need to have a Sun Broadband wireless usb device to use this sim. You simply need a phone that runs GPRS or Edge – better if it is 3G capable – insert the sim, and activate the settings.

I think this also means that I can now send a Text message using the SBW pc interface. You can’t do this for the old SBW sim. You can just receive messages.

And it says in the press release that you can now use this sim Nationwide.. that means… the coverage of Sun broadband wireless is now nationwide????? I can now use my SBW outside of Metro Manila? In cebu? and In Davao?

My good friend Jay informed me about this promo and he’s now using one. However, he said that you still need an extra load to install the settings on your phone (if you will use your phone to surf the internet or as modem for your pc/laptop).

Anyone else tried this one?

Hello, I’m planning to use my phone as modem to try the SWB. So you have to buy a 3G sun sim to use it right? And do you know how to install settings on the phone, like you said?
    Thanks in advance

I’m a postpaid user. If I subscribe to i50 for a day, can I use my sim on my iPad?

  3. migs says:

You cant use your sim on the iPad. Because the iPad uses a micro sim. smaller than the regular sim.

i wanna ask if sun broadband free trial still avaulable..

  5. migs says:

It depends, pag nakita nila sa area na meron na subscribers, then no need for Sun to let you test it, Kasi tested naman.
