A reader inquired about the Torque E100. He was comparing it to the Cherry Mobile P1. So I checked the full specs of the Torque E100 (you’ll see below) and got interested with the phone.
Got one over the weekend for just P1,190.00 and so far I’m happy with it. It’s just 88 x 45 x 9.5mm and weights 69g including the battery, this one is a lightweight , wallet friendly (literally and figuratively) phone.

Hi Migs,
Thanks for your input on this Torque E100. I think it’s a tiny pone packed with cool features and the size difference with the P1 is almost the same.
Only thing is that, do check out the FM, does it have a built in antenna so that one need not attach the headset to listen to the radio? If it has built in antenna, then I would say that’s a very good phone indeed for the price!
Regards,
Rick
Hi Migs,
Where can I buy this phone. I don’t go to the malls that much and I just want a recommendation where to buy it either in Mandaluyong (Megamall? Shangri-la?) or Makati area.
Thanks,
Lyn
Hi Rick,
It doesn’t have a built-in antenna so you still need to attach the headphones.

Hi Lyn, you can buy one at any mobile shop/store. Its available everywhere. Go to SM Mega cyberzone. for sure you’ll find one there
what are other colors of Torque E100? thanks!
Behbot,
one color lang eh… that one on the picture.
hey migs, is it tri-band? can be used in the states? thanks!
Yongski,
Nope. This phone only works with -> GSM 900/1800MHz which is not available in the US.
hi migs! how does the size of this compare with the cherry mobile p1? any chance you could put up a picture?
hi.
bought torque d80 last night. a dual sim phone at only 1,999, looking at it, seems like an ok standard dual sim phone.problem is to ba able to know who sent you an sms, your phone book number must have the prefix +63 which of course not all of your save number has. tried editing my 200+ contacts, but whoa! you can’t input the + sign when your editing the number. you just have to wait when they call or txt you so that you can use teh number received. after what happend when my boss txt me and only his number appeared, thinking that it was someone else because no name appeared, i ask who you? he got mad at me for not knowing it is him. returning the phone after this post.
okay ba po ang battery life nito? nakakita ako nang gni2 sa megamall eh, ang cute nya ksi ang liit… hehehe
How much is this phone??
Does anyone know?
advance thanks
The current market price is PHP 1,199.00
Got this phone for my PLDT call all SIM.
Advantages: lightweight, very small, cheap mobile phone, standard mini USB charging port, the battery is compatible with Nokia BL-5C. The keypad is pretty much the same as what can be seen in the nokias so texting wont be a problem.
Disadvantages:
It has a nice loud ring tone if one is in a relatively quiet place but has no vibration alert causing me to missed some calls when I’m in a mall. Solution? I place the phone in the front pocket of my polo so I can easily hear it.
Another problem of the phone is its speakerphone, tried using this inside my car, the sound output lacks the clear crystal clear output of even the Mokia 1208. The speakerphone option can only be activated once the call gets connected again the 1208 beats it to this.
i bought this E100 but the torch isn’t working, is it just my unit? or ALL are like this?
zygomatic,
When you say “Its not working” you mean you already tried pressing the up button twice and or turning ON the torch from the menu and nothings happening?
If so, you need to bring it to the nearest service center for repair.
Hi po! i was just wondering, if this phone is available outside metro manila? is this available in mindanao? particularly in Cagayan de Oro? cuz i was looking for a cheap yet functional phone and i think this one works out compared to the Cherry Mobile p1 kasi yung p1 lang ang nakikita ko dito sa Cagayan eh,… so, i was wondering if meron ba’ng nag se-sell ng ganto sa mindanao…
hey,im just wondering, does the torque E100 has a multimedia system or mp3?tnx. shiela=)
