P990.00 for 384 Bytes per second internet speed

November 9th, 2009 | 2 Comments | Posted in Information Technology, Mobile Review, Opinion, Tech News

I saw this shocking offering from PLDT myDSL…

mydsl bps Pay P990.00 for unlimited DSL and Landline but the speed.. ummm up to 384 bytes per second? WOOOT! That’s super slow.. hahahaha. Shouldn’t that be kbps or kb/s??

Although this was just a sure typo error on the picture…  it is still posted on the PLDT myDSL web site. Good thing the text beside the picture says kbps.

That’s kbps! 384 kbps is not enough nowadays. I remember signing up with their Plan 888 and little I did know that the DSL speed was 88 kbps! Like what the?!?! They never told me that when I signed up; sadly had to finish the 2 year contract and switched to Globe Broadband. :)
