I have three USB broadband modems. One for SUN, SMART, and Globe.
At home, I use sun. I’ve proven that its the network which gives me the fastest broadband connection in our area. I also use it in other areas. like in Quezon City, Manila, Cainta, Pasig, and other areas as well. I use smart bro when in transit or anywhere else where Sun fails. Globe tattoo is the backup. If both these networks fail… Globe Tattoo is there to save the day.
But if everything else fails… I find the nearest cafe or mall with a free Wi-fi.
Soon I’ll just have one. When our office changes from Globe to Smart. I’ll just retain my smart bro prepaid or get an unlimited plan.
i also have all 3 here sa min. puro hiram. trying which one is the best. so far smart ang pinakasatisfying. ang sun may signal pero ang hirap pag gabi at pag weekends. tinitignan ko kasi kung anong broadband ang ipapakabit ko kaya sinubukan ko muna prepaid
haha.. good thing i was lucky enough to unlock my own globe tattoo and im mainly using smart on it right now… Php50/day unli! speeds at my room take me up to 1.3mbps which is not so bad
while globe takes me to the same speed – it gets disconnected at random times. Sun on the other hand is relatively slow but stable…
quite thinking of trying out the bayantel thing which just reworded the competitor’s ads.. hahaha others: “up to 3mbps”.. bayantel: “512kbps truespeed*” mind the * fineprint reads when there are 4 bars of signal or up… which always makes me laugh…. hehehe

Have you tried sun wireless in Rizal? How’s the speed? Plano ko kasi sana bumili ng sun to overthrow my smart bro. Naiinis kasi ako sa fluctuated connection ng smart eh.
tried sun in antipolo… after ilang minutes namamatay na sya… mga 4-5 months ago yun ewan ko lang ngayon kase nagpakabit na lang ako ng smart wireless na ganun nga, may times na fluctuating ang signal. pero comparing sun and smart, smart ang mas ok sa akin
^ marami kasi ako naririnig na magandang feedbacks about sa sun, ok naman daw. sigurohihiramin ko na lang muna yung sa kaibigan ko para matesting. syang kasi 888. hehe.
Hello, am planning to subscribe sa internet provider pero di ko alam ang mas maganda. PLDT DSL, GLobe, Sun, Smart Bro? Lilipat kasi ako sa de castro ortigas extension in a week time and hindi ko alam at wala akong kakilala na may alam kung ano ang pinaka maganda at stable na provider.

3. WiMax plan from either globe or smart.
Don’t get a usb broadband dongle. masyadong congested dyan sa ortigas. you’ll experience problems with it.

Okay. Well i am not really sure with the place since i have”nt tried, pero i have a friend who lives in manggahan pasig and using sun broadband saying that so far no problems yet. I don’t know which to choose. sun or smart. Any idea? It will be in ortigas extension though not in ortigas itself. This is really kinda crucial, deciding on which provider to take since there are possibilities of congestion.

hi! you don’t need to have all three usb dongles. just get one usb dongle and have it openlined. you can google for it.
plus you can also use your sim cards to surf the net in your phone! i.e iphone! tried it and it works

hey guys im planning to get USB broadband connection and im not yet trying any of it i am an OFW and living in mindanao. so im planning either globe or smart bro…as of you guys tried more than 3 modems of different providers, give me some tips which of the 3 globe, sun, and smart bro is better especially in province.

Don’t waste your money on buying all those usb broadbands from 3 ISP’s. Just buy one and have it unlocked. Kawawa naman yung bumili ng tatlo nag-aksaya lang ng pera.
