Election Coverage: Problems and issues sent through SMS

Here are some issues I received through SMS from friends, officemates, and relatives:

Marikina City

Some precincts implement numbering system while some only ask voters to line up
Senior citizens are given priority
A senior citizen fainted. was quickly given first aid treatment by marikina rescue team.
Some names are not in the voters list.
PCOS machines at barangay fortune school hangs frequently
12:20 PM – PCOS machine malfunction at Malanday Elementary School

San Mateo

Davao City

SAMAL City

From Ana: “yesterday may pila ng bigas and cash in one barangay here. Comelec staff did not do anything about it”
10:14 Am- Catagman elementary school 2 PCOS machines not working. no backup machines
11:19 AM from Ana – maraming naging invalid na votes niluwa ng machines kasi daw nabasa, lagpas lagpas ang shade, etc. may teacher na nagbalik ng ballot sa voter kasi kulang daw ang naka shade.

Tagum City

8:30 AM from Joan – Massive and rampant Vote Buying in Mirafuentes
9:43 AM from Ann – Malakas ang ulan sa Tagum city
11:20 AM from marlon @UM Tagum – nalilito ang mga tao, not organized, senior citizens not prioritized
11:38 AM – Rox- mahaba ang pila, matagal bumoto
brownout in Brgy. Garinan in Madaum and Brgy. Balanban tagum
Yuki – 6 precincts in 1 room = riot. not enough PCOS machines. we can only hope for a peaceful and honest elections to come out of this.

8:30 am from jonard – heavy rains in Maco
8:45 From dirs – Some PCOS machines in Brgy. Andili Maco, Comval are not working
12:11PM From tony @ Provincial Capitol – no problems
brgy Makopa and Mabuhay in comval where the PCOS machines failed to work
