7:00 am
Me and my brother went to our assigned school. We know our precinct number but don’t know where our assigned room is. Good thing there were a lot of information booths.
They were also equipped with a map to show where the clustered precinct is exactly located. We saw a lot of people giving out sample flyers and some election paraphernalia near the school and even at the school entrance.
When I arrived at my precinct, we went directly to the list of names to check if we were listed. I was number 130 on the list for the precinct. We then asked where the line starts. We were informed that a numbering system was in place. My cue number was 117. However, people holding number 15-20 were cued inside the precinct. We were also given a piece of paper where we were instructed to write our name, precinct number, birth date and sex.
7:30 AM
Other voters started to arrive.
Voting was a bit slow as voters, Board of election inspectors and even watchers were still new to the new automated system.
9:00 AM
Phase started to pick up. The numbering system was working. Smooth voting was taking place.
9:44 AM
Time to line up inside the precinct.
10:15
My number was called and I started the voting authentication process.
- The BEI staff asked for my number, i showed it to her
- The BEI staff looked for my name on the list. I told her my precinct number and my number on the list so it would be easy for her to look for it.
- BEI staff signed my number and told me to go to the next step- get a ballot
- I lined up briefly to get a ballot
- The BEI pulled out a ballot from the stack and signed it, placed it in a folder and handed it to me along with a pen
- I looked for a seat
- I started voting
- In less than 2 minutes, I finished filling out the ballot
- I went to line up on the PCOS machine
- When it was my turn, I fed my ballot to the PCOS machine
- I was told to wait for the CONGRATULATIONS message to appear.
- After it appeared I was told to go and line up on the other side to sign on the voters list
- I stamped my thumb mark and signed the voter’s list
- The BEI staff placed the indelible ink on my finger
10:37 am
Its official… I was able to cast my vote!

[...] The election process was smooth and systematized – in our precinct that is – as what i have posted here in my elections coverage. [...]
