To comply with the recent ruling of the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) to cut the cost of text messages by Php 0.20 centavos, Globe will be offering SuperAllTxt80.
“This offering is in effect a substantial compliance to lower the regular retail text rate from P1 to P0.80,” following NTC’s Memorandum Circular 02-10-2011 which directed all telecom companies to reduce the maximum interconnection charges for SMS between two separate networks to Php 0.15 from the existing Php 0.35 per text.
However, this is only for PREPAID subscribers (hopefully only for now). For you to be able to avail of this “permanent promo”, you will have to enroll/register first by sending ATXT80 to 8888.
Globe is expected to start offering SuperAllTxt80 on or before January 31, 2012.
