You can read contents of newspapers online via their websites. But this time, the Philippine Star lets you read the whole printed newspaper… online for FREE!
Just go to http://www.thephilippinestar.ph.
Furthermore, you can download the iOS app (for your iPhone and iPad) and Android app which functions as a viewer and for you to easily download a copy of any page, the whole copy of the newspaper for the day, or previous editions on your tablet or mobile phone.

The first Philippine newspaper that I know and I’ve seen with a digital edition is the Philippine Daily Inquirer. However, you need to buy a subscription. A single issue/ issue for the day would cost you a dollar ($1) or around Php 40.00.

Like. Thank you.
Like. Thank you…
Are you kidding? Trying to avail of the “free” online edition via iPhone app only yields prompts for subscription. As a print subscriber I find the Star’s statement that it’s free to be misleading and false advertising. Your review only support their promotional falsehoods. On the other hand, at least Inquirer app works, even if it’s an abbreviated version. I am canceling my subscription! Completely bogus!
Roger Simone,
Sorry to hear that you are being charged for a subscription. I don’t know for the iPhone app. But i can vouch for the android app that it is FREE. and I use it everyday.
I won’t spend a single cent on an online newspaper subscription because i can get the story for free from other online news sites.
A very informative newspaper coupled with reliable commentaries and opinions.
