What was once an exclusive app for iPhone and was seen on the Samsung Galaxy S3, Flipboard can now be installed on most android device (mobile phone and tablet).

Flipboard creates a personalized magazine out of everything being shared with you. Flip through your Facebook newsfeed, tweets from your Twitter timeline, photos from Instagram friends and much more. For more about Flipboard, click here.

Thanks to Valcho from XDA forums for making the flipboard apk  available for download. A bit of a warning, this is not the official app. so download, install, and use it at your own risk.

Well I did install it on my Archos Tablet and I’ve connected my Facebook account and Google Reader.

Download the unofficial Flipboard app for Android here.  You can download the official Flipboard for iOS (iPad and iPhone) here.

Here’s how to create your Flipboard account (you need internet connection).

  1. Click the red icon/button on the top right corner on the Flipboard home screen.
  2. Choose accounts
  3. Choose create Flipboard Account
  4. Fill-out the needed info
  5. tap the DONE button on the top right corner of the screen.
