Samsung has released an upgraded Galaxy Ace DUOS.
The ”new” Galaxy Ace DUOS GT-S6802 have improved specs from the first released GALAXY ACE DUOS I589. Some of the improvements are:
- upgraded Camera – now 5MP
- Improved Data speeds – now HSDPA, 7.2 Mbps
- Upgraded OS – now Android OS, v2.3 (Gingerbread)
- Slightly increased CPU speed – now 832 MHz (from 800 MHz)
But one thing that was downgraded was the battery. From Standard battery, Li-Ion 1650 mAh, the latest ACE DUOS now only has a Li-ion 1,300 mAh battery.
So with the current specs, the Samsung Galaxy Ace DUOS GT-S6802 is like a twin of the Galaxy Y Duos except that the Ace DUOS have 5MP camera while the Y DUOS only have a 3MP camera. All other features are the same.
Samsung will launch the phone in June in Russia followed by Europe, CIS, Latin America, Southeast and Southwest Asia, Middle East, Africa, and China.
So I’m guessing that the Samsung Galaxy Ace DUOS GT-S6802 will be priced between Php 11,500 to Php 13,000 here in the Philippines.

The resolution of the screen is also different
Thanks Kris!
Is it worth to buy it?
Which of the two is better to buy, y duos or ace duos? Thanks
