Good thing I saved all my office files on Google Drive, I was able to recover a very important document yesterday.

I was working on a very important file (excel) yesterday when suddenly I saw the contents got mixed up. I can’t undo it and I didn’t have a back-up copy of the document.
The file is saved in Google Drive and I remembered that back then, Google Docs had a “versions” feature. I opened Google Drive on the web and right clicked on the file. Then I clicked on “Manage Revisions”.
Google Drive on the web keeps the latest and previous versions of a file, automatically deleting previous versions only when they’re older than 30 days or there are more than 100 previous versions of the same file.
You should have seen the smile in my face!
So yes… I got the version of the file with the correct data. SUPER thanks to Google Drive/Docs! It would take me at least 2 days to arranged all those info or at least the following day to get the back-up file from our company’s server. But with Google Drive, it only took me 2 mins to get the version of the file.
The main reason why I’m using Google Drive is to be able to access my files anywhere using my laptop, phone, or tablet. Now I have another reason to use it!
