MRTtrackr is a social train tracking app that helps you track the mass rapid transit (MRT) here in the Philippines (MRT-3, LRT-1, LRT-2).
What does the MRTtrackr app do?
- Helps you find the nearest train station within your area
- Provides you with your train itinerary
- Notifies you when you have arrived at the destination of your choice with voice alert notification - Using our Ride Train feature, just set your destination and MRTtrackr will provide you with your itinerary. If you’re sleepy or you can’t hear the PA system, MRTtrackr will alert you with a voice notification when you have arrived at your destination.
- Provides you the estimated crowdedness in the train station of your choice
- Provides up-to-date news and information that is relevant to the public
You need to sign up here for you to join the open beta and download the app initially on your Android mobile device.
Note, this app needs internet connection. I hope FREE fast wifi will soon be available at MRT and LRT 1/2. And because it need to check your location, you also need to turn on the gps/agps feature of your android phone.
