It looks like SMART is in the process of merging their network/base stations with SUN. As one SMART user tweeted that she’s seeing the network name “SUN” in her SMART powered sim. I also experienced this (seeing the smart logo/name) when Smart  acquired Red Mobile.

Implementing LTE technology is not easy and definitely not cheap.PLDT/Smart have invested PHP67.1 billion (USD1.5 billion) for their network modernization project to cater for LTE and future mobile technologies as well. I was watching TV yesterday while switching channels, I saw a feature over at Jessica Soho reports about Text Clans. Its my first time to hear it.   Pic from source I googled about text clan and I found an article about it made by a Text Clan member.

Thanks to Amazon for mapping out places here in the Philippines where 3G, EDGE, or at least GPRS connection is available.   Just wondering how Amazon will be able to provide free connection to Kindle users here in the Philippines.
